Character Description
Charlie is on the shorter end of students, standing at only 5'1. He doesn't really have a defined physique yet, being a child who isn't particularly active. He is average weighted, and very pale. His eyes are a washed-out blue, and his skin is speckled with freckles.
His hair, a light brown, is left in a shaggy mop - it's not messy, but it's not as orderly as school faculty and his parents would like. He is never seen with his hair not in this style.
Charlie wears a dark teal Bullworth sweater over a white dress shirt with the collar open. He wears light-brown khakis and black loafers. During the winter, he can be seen wearing a dark teal and black toque and a matching scarf. His nightwear is a white T-shirt, black and red tartan sweatpants, socks, and black slippers.
His Halloween outfit is a police officer. The outfit has a functioning pair of real metal handcuffs.
Characteristics
At first, Charlie seems naïve, sweet, and a little annoying. Once you get to know him, he's just annoying. Because of this, he doesn't really have friends. And, even though he's really good at putting up a front about being a sweet kid, he's got a nasty mean streak that most people don't get to see. Unfortunately for Jimmy Hopkins, Charlie's mean streak made itself known to him.
Charlie is a pretty clever kid, though he knows how to play dumb to get by undetected. He knows how to get his way, and often gets what he wants. To say he's spoiled is a bit of an understatement. On top of it all, his father, Chief of the Bullworth Police Precinct, enables and shelters Charlie. His father being Chief of Police also means that Charlie feels a level of safety from others, seeing that he can - and has - threatened to sic his father on other students and their families.
Strengths
Charlie excels at manipulating people, be it for good or bad, though he often uses it for the latter. His manipulations range from boosting a grade to playing with someone for fun. He is especially good at manipulating authority figures. On that note, he likes to snitch on other students, and will often use it to get ahead rather than to be a 'good samaratin.' He is also known to blackmail and threaten others if he needs to. It's often done to humiliate and bully someone, or to gain leverage over them, but will occasionally demand favours in return for not snitching.
His strongest classes are English, Chemistry, Math, Drama, and Geography. He is particularly good with words, and does very well in Mr. Galloway's classes.
Weaknesses
Charlie is very small and weak, and, as such, is easily bullied - hence using his words to his advantage. He's absolutely no match in a fight, and cannot physically defend himself. And, though he's small and fast, he can only run so far.
His need to control and manipulate people outweigh his need for friends, so he's often alone. Any 'friends' he has are more or less in that category just to stay on his good side or because they were threatened into tolerating his presence. More on his social standing in the next section.
His weakest classes are Gym, Shop, Art, and Music.
Social Standing
Charlie has a very poor social standing, and it's his own doing. Because of his tendency to blackmail, threaten, and manipulate others, he had no friends in Elementary School. This transferred over into Grade 7 when he entered Bullworth. However, in Bullworth, his lack of friends have more to do with his snitching and the fact that he's annoying, alongside the fact that it quickly became known that Charlie's father, Robert Wright, is the Chief of Police.
That being said, Charlie's social standing is pretty much non-existent. He's treated pretty poorly in the first semester of Grade 7 because other students found out about his father. In fact, his first and only real friend was Jimmy, who Charlie would later make himself the enemy of after a series of events during user BonnieLizzie's fanfictional sequel to 'Bully', called 'Bully: Junior Year.'
Background and Personal Life
Familial Relationships
Charlie has a decent relationship with his parents, Robert Wright and Livvy Wright. They both coddle him more than they should, resulting in a sheltered, spoiled kid. He is the only child in the household.
Home Life
Because Charlie is an only child in a household of coddlers, Charlie is very spoiled. He essentially gets whatever he wants at all times. And, as previously stated, his father is the Chief of Police, so, while he's quite spoiled, he is also disciplined harshly. His father often treats home life like he's a drill sergeant. Charlie was excited to go to Bullworth because he would get to stay in the Boys' Dorms; he felt it would lend him some independence that he, a 12 year-old, clearly needed...
Though Charlie stays in the dorms, he often goes home on the weekends because his mother wants to see him. This happens less frequently as the school year progresses.
